HARD TO FIND, LOT OF 3, ANTIQUE 5" LONG ROUND BOWL BOUILLON SOUP SPOONS FROM THE 1914 ISSUED, "ARCADIA" PATTERN NAME OF STERLING SILVER FLATWARE MADE BY SSMC / THE STERLING SILVER MFG. CO., USA WHICH WAS LATER ACQUIRED BY SAART BROS., USA THEY ARE MONOGRAMMED WITH A GOTHIC LETTER "H", TOTAL WEIGHT OF ALL 3 IS 44.0 GRAMS They are personally monogrammed on the top of the handle in a Gothic letter H, otherwise, they show typical light wear from use and storage, including minor surface marks and scratches. They have been gently hand polished and ultrasonic cleaned in a mild dish soap, and they have nice shine, are very clean, and are table ready. They are straight, not bent, stack as they should, with no major issues at all. They are hallmarked on the back SSMC STERLING, hallmark for The Sterling Silver Mfg. Co. of Providence, Rhode Island. They were later acquired by Saart Bros. of Attleboro, Massachusetts, so this pattern will be found with both maker marks. HISTORICAL FOOTNOTE: The last photo shown was taken from a 1922 Jewelry Trademark catalog and completely documents this hallmark and maker.
